DEWALT DC9310 Heavy-Duty 7.2 Volt - 18 Volt 1 Hour ChargerLithium-ion (Li-Ion) battery technology is one of the fastest growing trends in the tool community, and certainly with good reason. Lithium-ion batteries have the best power to weight ratio, meaning that they pack the most power with the least amount of bulk. Also experience no memory effect, or lazy battery effect. This occurs when a battery no longer accept a price ceiling for those with time and again, without fully charged again used (a common symptom of nickel-cadmium(NiCd) batteries). Li-Ion batteries, conversely, have absolutely no memory and can accept a maximum continuous charge. In addition, lithium-ion batteries have a very low charge loss while the battery is switched off.
